Business Development Manager

StudentFinance is looking for a Business Development Manager that will be responsible for onboard education institution partners to our Income Share Agreements program. This role requires a person that is both experienced in acquiring and managing partners/clients at a senior level, being the fact of the company towards such partners, and has the capacity and ambition to help drive the growth of the company.

 

Role responsibilities:
  • Engage, build a relationship with current and potential education institution partners
  • Negotiate agreements with education institutions and manage the onboarding process
  • Provide training and support to partner education institutions
  • Ensure each education institutions correctly promotes the ISA to their students and drives candidates
  • Responsible for making sure each institution delivers ISA contracts.
  • Responsible for Customer Success team for specific markets
  • Prepare proposals, analyse performance data and history of potential Education Partners
  • Work cross-functionally to handle and resolve complex and time-sensitive questions clients may face
  • Ensure StudentFinance is a thought leader in the market
  • Represent StudentFinance and ISAs in the broader education market and at industry events
  • Become an expert and advocate of ISAs and support the shift in the education industry towards this pay-per-success model
  • The role will initially be focused on the Spanish market, and then broaden to more geographies
  • Given the sensitive nature of the information handled, maintain strict confidentiality at all times

Job requirements

About you:
  • 3+ years of experience in high-level negotiation and managing strategic partnerships at a senior level
  • 3+ years of experience in business development roles in B2B contexts
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience managing teams across different geographies
  • Experience in driving results, and overseeing KPIs for a market
  • Excellent presentation - to make a good impression always!
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluent in Spanish, English is a must. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience in startup environments and in the education sector
  • Flexibility to travel as/when needed
  • Proactive and able to work independently
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced and agile environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and yet able to steer analytics projects toward clear business goals, testable hypotheses, and action-oriented outcomes
